Ford Escort RS Cosworth

One of the biggest tragedies in European motoring happened in 1996, when Ford decided to discontinue building the Escort RS Cosworth because of their unwillingness to comply with the European Union’s new vehicle noise regulations, ending the five-year production run of Ford’s most successful rally car. The RS Cosworth went out with a bang, winning the 1998 Rally of Great Britain, going out on top in its final works rally race.
